Micael Runnström,
Ph.D.
GIS and Remote Sensing Teacher, +46 46 222 79 25
Satellite data and GIS
were used in my Doctor's thesis to evaluate vegetation change in northern China
over the past 20 years. I have been lecturing many years in GIS and Remote
Sensing at the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Analysis. Now
working with the master's education in GIS over the Internet (LUMA-GIS). Other
interests are the build-up of GIS databases for analyses of eco-tourism,
pesticides etc.

M.Sc.
GIS teacher, +46 46 222 79 25
Physical geographer. lecturer and researcher in GIS. My research
constitutes of estimating, modelling, accessibility to markets and
towns in Sri Lanka and investigating the relationships between
accessibility and poverty, land use patterns and livelihood strategies.
My research also constitutes of modelling past vegetation cover with
the help of fossil pollen samples.
